Alert Security Training
We have our own training partner company, Alert Training. Alert has been educating people just like you, since 2003. They have helped thousands of people gain the qualifications they need to get into a line of work they enjoy. On offer is an affordable solution for a range of courses.
Alert works closely with us and is situated just above our Head Office. Run by local people, for local people, they have years of experience in the security industry and add unique value with their ability to answer questions and teach from experience, not a textbook.
We’re also proud to announce everyone who completes a Door Supervision Course with Alert Training is offered a guaranteed interview with Northern Security. We work hard to help people earn an honest living and, in the process, create availability as we grow, for people like you to progress in the company and build a career in the security industry.
To work as a door supervisor in the UK, you need to complete this course with an SIA compliant training provider, like ourselves. The course is spread over 6 days and once passed, by taking a multiple-choice test, you’ll be eligible to apply for your SIA door supervisor licence.
This Licence is required to sell alcohol within any retail environment, including pubs, clubs, restaurants and bars. The course is designed to ensure people like you, have attained the necessary skills to operate legally and have the ability to maintain a safe environment.
This 1-day course is designed to equip you with the skills required to manage incidents and care for injured colleagues appropriately. This qualification makes you a more attractive candidate for new employment and many employers offer a bonus for designated first aiders. This is due to HSE regulations that define workplaces should always have a first aider on site at all times while operations are active.
This advance qualification was created to equip and recognise qualified first aiders in the workplace. As a student, you’ll learn how to supervise and handle medical incidents, life support, unconsciousness, control of bleeding and a range of other skills. This certificate is very attractive to employers looking to appropriately comply with HSE regulations, and many companies offer additional bonuses for designated first aiders.
